Create a fun carrot-shaped gift box. This original packaging box is perfect for holding small surprises, making it a great treat for Easter!
1
Take a sheet of cardstock and cut it to size (5.5 x 4.1" / 14 x 10.5 cm) so it fits into the embossing folder.
2
Emboss the paper.
3
Apply double-sided tape across the entire width of one short side and along one long side. The tape on the long side doesn’t need to reach the edges completely.
4
Peel back a small section of the tape on the long side to make it easier to remove later. Take off the protective layer of the tape on the short side and stick the edges together to form a cylinder, similar to a toilet roll.
5
Remove the remaining tape (which you already loosened) and use it to seal one end of the box. Make sure the seam is in the middle, not on the folded edge.
6
Punch two holes in the open end of the box, directly opposite each other on the pointed side. Be sure to do this on the correct side so the box stays open properly when closed.
7
Round off the corners to make the box look more like a carrot.
8
Fold a piece of felt in half lengthwise and cut it into the shape of a leaf with a connecting piece in between. When unfolded, you should have two leaves with a stem in the middle. The gap between the leaves should be about 3 cm.
9
Cut small slits along the edges of the leaves for a playful effect.
10
Thread the felt piece through the two holes in the box so that a leaf sticks out on both sides. Tie a knot to close the box.
