Tim Holtz Distress stain makes it easy for you to apply ink to a larger surface area such as a card or scrapbook page. The ink is also suitable for photographs, canvas and wood. Add water to lighten the colour and create watercolour effects, or apply multiple layers to achieve a more intense colour. Once you add water the ink continues to react, for hours or even days. Distress stains are available in all Distress colours and a number of metallic varieties.
The nylon dabber on top has a built-in spring valve to prevent the ink from leaking from the bottle. When you push the dabber onto the paper (or any other material) a valve inside opens and the ink is released. As soon as you lift it up again, the ink instantly stops. You can apply the Distress stain simply by moving the dabber back and forth on the paper. The spectrum of products in the Tim Holtz Distress series all have unique properties and are available in the same colours, making them ideal for combining.
