What are Punches?

Punches are ideal for working with (scrapbooking) paper. A punch works the same way as a hole punch. You place the paper between the punch, then press it down. The result is a shape punched out of the paper, similar to how a hole punch creates confetti. The paper from which the shape is punched can also be used for your creations. Punching is a simple technique suitable for both young and old!  

On the top of the punch, you will find an image of the shape to be punched. Punches are indispensable when decorating cards, scrapbook layouts, or creating gift tags. Use small punches for shaker card fillings or as confetti. Be careful not to use paper that is too thin, as the punch may get stuck. If the paper is too thick, you could damage the punch mechanism.

How to Use a Punch for Crafting?

Crafting with a punch is incredibly easy. In just a few steps, you can transform paper into your next creation:

1. Choose the right punch based on the shape shown on the punch.
2. Insert the paper into the punch.
3. Ensure proper positioning. Decide where you want to punch the paper.
4. Make sure the paper thickness is suitable for the punch you're using.
5. Press the punch down. At this point, the shape is punched out of the paper.
6. Remove the paper from the punch and discard any excess material.
7. Tip: You can use the punched-out shape for further crafting.
8. Check the result.
