1
Grab a pack of A4 linen cardstock and select your desired colours. Use a tearing ruler to tear strips approximately 2.5 to 3 cm wide.
2
Cut the strips in half to a length of 10.5 cm.
3
Cut a sheet of black linen cardstock to 13.8 x 1.8 cm. Create a passe-partout by placing the paper in the cutter at 2.5 cm and cutting 2.5 cm from the edge each time. Remove the cut-out square from the center.
4
Flip the passe-partout and decide how many strips you want to adhere to the back. Mark with a pencil where the strips should be placed and apply double-sided tape to two sides.
5
Choose a colour sequence for the strips and start adhering them from the bottom, overlapping like roof tiles.
6
Continue until all strips are attached. Add double-sided tape to the other two sides and then add more tape all around to attach it to another piece of paper or cardboard.
7
Cut a sheet of white linen cardstock to 14.8 x 14.8 cm and affix the cut-out piece on top. Now you can either make it into a frame or craft a card from it.
