Create an adorable little mouse using an egg carton! With a bit of paint, paper, and ribbon, you easily craft this cute animal. Follow the steps and bring your mouse to life!
1
Cut the base of the mouse from an egg carton. The pointed part with the hole will form the snout, and the two round shapes above it will become the ears. Don’t forget to cut out the neck as well.
2
Paint the base grey or brown using gouache.
3
Paint two lighter patches along the snout where the eyes will go. Leave the bridge of the snout unpainted.
4
Paint the inside of the ears pink.
5
Colour the front of the snout white and add a pink nose.
6
Draw the beady eyes and whiskers with black paint or use googly eyes for a playful effect.
7
Punch out a scalloped circle and a smaller, smooth circle from cardstock paper and glue them together as a background for the head.
8
Cut a piece of satin ribbon, 9 mm wide and about 4 cm long. Attach double-sided tape to the back.
9
Secure the ribbon over half of the mouse’s neck and stick the ends to the inside at the back.
10
Apply glue to the back of the head and attach it to the centre of the circles.
