Craft a Mini Scrapbook Folder

Craft a Mini Scrapbook Folder

Easily create your own accordion folder or cheerful scrapbook folder. Perfect for storing all sorts of things, like notes, photos and stickers!

1
Take a piece of greyboard and cut out two panels for the cover measuring 2.8 x 3.3 inches (7 x 8.5 cm) and another measuring 2.8 x 1.2 inches (7 x 3 cm).
2
Cut decorative scrapbook paper to size, allowing approximately 0.4 inches (1 cm) of extra paper on each side to fold over the greyboard later on (for the 2.8 x 3.3 inches board → use paper size 3.5 x 4.1 inches). Glue the board in the centre of the paper, cut the corners diagonally, and neatly fold the edges over the board. Use a bone folder to smooth everything down for a professional finish. TIP: Use the We R Makers book cover guide to make this step even easier!
3
Cut a piece of scrapbook paper measuring 3.1 x 2.8 inches (8 x 7 cm) and stick it on the inside of the cover, on top of the greyboard.
4
To make the folders or accordion pockets, cut a sheet of scrapbook paper to 6.7 x 3.5 inches (17 x 9 cm.)
5
Score these sheets horizontally at 0.4 inches (1 cm), vertically at 2.3 - 2.7 - 3.1 - 5.5 - 5.9 and 6.3 inches(6, 7, 8, 14, 15, and 16 cm). Then, cut away the horizontal strip, except for one panel you cut in (see the photo for the exact place).
6
Fold the folder together using double-sided tape for easy and quick adhesion.
7
Make as many of these folders as you like, each using a different patterned paper for a fun effect. For this example, we made 8.
8
Now stick all the folders together one by one.
9
Then attach the front and back folders to the inside of the cover.
10
Finish with a coloured ribbon of your choice, attaching it to the cover to be able to tie the album shut.
