How to make a paper umbrella

How to make a paper umbrella

How about making a cute little paper umbrella? Crafting a 3D umbrella is a breeze
when you follow the steps of this autumn DIY. Pick your favorite colours and
get started on this fun autumn decoration!

1
Take 4 sheets of cardstock in autumn colours (green, yellow, purple, and brown) and punch out 2 circles from each sheet, giving you a total of 8 circles.
2
Fold each circle in half, and then in half again. Make sure the creases are sharp—use a bone folder or your fingernail for this.
3
Apply double-sided tape to the top of the half-circle. Fold it again into a quarter circle and press the edges firmly together. Repeat for all circles.
4
Stick the quarter circles together, flat sides touching, to form the shape of an umbrella. Leave the first and last quarter circles open for now.
5
Bend a piece of aluminum wire (about 7-8 cm long) with pliers to create the umbrella handle. Cut about 40 cm of ribbon for the hanging loop.
6
Use double-sided tape to attach the ribbon and wire handle inside the umbrella. Then, close the final opening to complete your round umbrella.
7
To make umbrellas in different sizes, use punches of varying diameters and adjust the thickness of the aluminum wire for the handle.
