Make a Birthday Card: 60 Years

Make a Birthday Card: 60 Years

Would you like to create a special birthday card? This fold-out card for a 60th birthday stands out with its embossed details, shimmering accents, and bold numbers.
A true eye-catcher!

1
Cut a green sheet of cardstock to 8.3 x 5.8 inch(21 x 14.8 cm). Score along the long side at 2.0 inches (5.2 cm) from both ends to create a foldable booklet-style card. Also, cut a separate piece of green cardstock measuring 2.7 x 2.7 inches (7 x 7 cm) and set both aside.
2
Select the number dies you need (for example, 6 and 0) and die-cut them from white cardstock using a die-cutting machine. Repeat this process until you have five white numbers of each. Also, cut the numbers once from green cardstock.
3
Glue the white numbers on top of each other, finishing with the green number on top. Let them dry thoroughly.
4
Take a 5.9 x 5.9 inch (15 x 15 cm) sheet of white cardstock, place it in the balloon embossing folder, and run it through the die-cutting machine.
5
Place the embossed sheet on a work mat and position the matching stencil over it. Use daubers to apply three shades of ink diagonally across the paper.
6
Once the ink is dry, cut the embossed sheet into two pieces measuring 1.6 x 5.4 inches (4 x 13.8 cm) and one piece measuring 2.3 x 2.3 inches (6 x 6 cm).
7
Cut gold glitter paper into two pieces of 1.8 x 5.6 inches (4.5 x 14.3 cm) and one piece of 2.6 x 2.6 inches (6.5 x 6.5 cm).
8
Attach the cut rectangular pieces onto the flaps of the card: first, the glitter paper, then the embossed balloon paper on top.
9
Take the square pieces and the numbers. Stack and glue them together in this order: green cardstock at the bottom, then the glitter paper, the balloon paper, and finally the numbers.
10
Attach this square to the left flap of the card. Place a removable glue dot on the opposite side and close the card.
