Making a kite with our craft kit

Making a kite with our craft kit

Vaessen
Creative's craft kits are perfect for school projects, home activities,
children's parties, workshops, therapy, and much more! In this DIY project,
we'll be making a kite using foam lollipop sticks.

Will you join us?

1
Start by laying out the frame of the kite using foam lollipop sticks. Begin with one horizontal stick, then use four more sticks to form a diamond shape.
2
Take a split pin and push it through the end of the horizontal stick. Attach two sticks to the split pin and bend them towards each other.
3
Repeat this on the other side of the horizontal stick. Bend the ends of both split pins once you are satisfied with the diamond shape.
4
Use two more foam lollipop sticks for the vertical stick. Attach them to the ends of the diamond shape with a split pin. Then, bring them together in the middle of the horizontal stick.
5
Secure everything with another split pin and trim off any excess ends of the sticks.
6
Draw the shape of the kite on a sheet of foam and cut it out.
7
Apply craft glue to the back of the frame and stick it onto the cut-out foam shape.
8
Decorate the kite with eyes and sequins as desired.
9
Take two pipe cleaners and twist them around a pen. The thinner the pen, the curlier the stems will be.
10
Finally, glue the pipe cleaners to the back of the kite, and your kite is ready to fly!
