Create a creative cat-themed card using a simple painting technique. In just five steps, you can bring a row of cheerful cats to life on paper. Add a sweet message, and your artwork is complete!
1
Fold a double watercolour card neatly in half and secure it to your workspace for extra stability. Tape off slightly less than the bottom half – this part will stay clean for the text you will add later.
2
Using a thick layer of acrylic paint, paint two cat ears and connect them at the top. This forms the upper part of a cat’s head.
3
Take a sturdy piece of cardboard or a card and gently drag the paint downwards to the taped-off section. This will create the cat’s body. Repeat until you have a colourful row of cats on your card.
4
Use a black fineliner to draw details such as eyes, noses, ears, and whiskers to give your cats personality.
5
Carefully remove the tape (if it’s tricky, use a heat tool or hairdryer). Finally, use the Stamp Easy tool and alphabet clear stamps to print the text “You are purrfect” at the bottom of the card. Make sure the text is neatly centred for a perfect finishing touch.
