Pixel art with cardstock

Pixel art with cardstock

Step into the world of pixels and create your own pixel art! With our pixel art template,
making pixel art has never been easier. In addition to that, you'll need some
cardstock, a glue pen, a hole punch, and a bit of creativity to craft beautiful
pixel artworks perfect for embellishing cards, gifts, and more.

1
Print the pixel art template (PDF) onto smooth cardstock.
2
Gather all the colours of cardstock you need for your chosen template. Smooth cardstock works best as it gives your project a uniform look and allows for quicker work. Smooth cardstock, unlike textured cardstock, has the same smoothness on both sides, so you won't need to flip the pixels.
3
Punch out the number of pixels as indicated in the PDF file.
4
Glue the pixels onto the template one by one. A pick-up tool can be very handy for this. To get the pixels flat on the cardstock, you can also use an acrylic block.
5
Let the glue dry and then cut or trim your pixel art.
6
Stick your pixel art onto cards, labels, gift bags, or scrapbook pages. It's also fun to place individual pixels outside your figure to create a 'glitch' effect.
7
Use matching stamps to finish off the project.
