Valentine’s Day Shaker Card

Valentine’s Day Shaker Card

As a crafts enthusiast, there’s no doubt you’ll make the most beautiful Valentine's Day cards yourself. In this DIY, we show you how to make a different kind of valentine's card: a shaker card. This card with cute heart-shaped confetti looks amazing and is not difficult at all to make! Finish it off with a sweet text or of course the question ‘Be my valentine?’.

1
Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 5.9 inch by 9.8 inch (15 by 25 cm). Score or fold the 9.8 inch (25 cm) side of the sheet at 4.9 inch (12.5 cm). This is your base card.
2
Cut a 3.7 by 2.9 inch (9.5 by 7.5 cm) rectangle from another colour of cardstock.
3
Then cut a square hole at 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) from the top, left and right. From the bottom, you do this at 1.2 inch (3 cm). You now have a hole measuring 1.8 by 2.1 inch (4.5 by 5.5 cm).
4
Cut out a piece of clear plastic (here we use transparent shrink plastic) that is just a little larger than the hole. Stick it onto the back with double-sided tape.
5
Then stick foam tape on the edges of the card. Make sure that the corners fit well.
6
Punch out some hearts and place them on the shrink plastic.
7
Cut out a piece of cardstock and stick it onto the foam tape. This gives the hearts a closed 'space' so you can shake your card safely.
8
Stick the shaker on the card and finish your creation with a nice text. Shake it, baby!
