Get creative with your toddler or pre-schooler and make these colourful slippers together. The materials you need are included in our craft kit. Follow the steps below and let your child go wild with decorations at the end.
Fun guaranteed!
1
Draw the shape of two shoes on a sheet of foam paper. You can use real children's shoes to get the size right.
2
Cut out both shoe soles.
3
Draw the shoe soles again on another sheet of foam and cut these out.
4
Choose a colour for the top of the soles. Mark where the straps of the flip-flops will go through the sole.
5
For each flip-flop, take a chenille wire. Cut about 8 cm off each wire and set this aside. Use the remaining piece for the strap over the foot. Poke both ends through the bottom two marked spots.
6
Take the cut piece of chenille and use it to create the toe divider. Poke the wire from the bottom of the sole to the top, twist it once around the other strap to secure them together, and then poke the end back down through the same hole.
7
Turn the flip-flop over and glue all the ends of the chenille wires to the bottom of the sole. Then, glue the other coloured sole on top. Let it dry well.
8
And now the most fun step: decorate the flip-flops to your heart's content with pom-poms, sequins, rhinestones, foam letters, and more!
